Sunday School

Presently the Sunday school, which is for children from Kindergarten through High school is using the SHINE curriculum.  There is also a program for preschoolers with a paid caregiver on site.

Sunday school begins in worship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday – children / youth go to classes following a brief children’s message and are dismissed at 11:15 a.m. each week.

We also have two youth groups in the church.  One is called the “Between Group” and it meets after worship one Sunday a month.  This group is for those in grades 4 – 6 and works on small service projects for the church.  The second group is our Youth Group and is for those who are in grades 7 – 12.  The group generally meets a couple times a month from 4 – 5:30 p.m.  They do a variety of service projects, fund raisers, and activities.

On May 17, 2015  we celebrated Children’s Sunday at the First Congregational Church of Rowley. Children’s Sunday is the wrap up of the Sunday School year and a great way to show some of the things that our students have learned.  This year, Bibles were presented to the following students: Kevin Bennett, Gabrielle Hanson,  Annalise Jensen, Sophia Jensen, Emily Richard, and Emily Sousa

As we wrap up our Sunday School year, we would like to thank the parents for bringing their children to Sunday School at the First Congregational Church of Rowley. We are glad that you are part of our church family!

Finally, we’d like to give a big thank you to our Sunday School teachers and assistants. Teaching is a big commitment, and this dedicated group of Christian educators “comes to the table” each week making the Bible come alive for our students.

REGISTRATION FOR 2015-2016 Sunday school year will begin on Sunday, September 13, 2015
