Project Joy Update

Published on Dec 2nd, 2016 by Lisa | 0

The youth have been very busy continuing their work with Project JOY! They sponsored several children for summer camp and bought supplies to fill lunches for Emmaus house summer camp children daily for 5 weeks. They recently donated all of the proceeds from their spaghetti supper and spent 4 days collecting signatures on get well cards at the local Rowely Market Basket for a local police officer and his family after he was seriously hurt in a car accident. The youth also donated food, clothing and basic essentials to a local family in need. The youth will continue to spread JOY during the holiday season when they fill stockings for DARE Family Services (to be given to young moms and their children) and providing Christmas to a local family in need (tree and all the fixings!). We have sent out a total of 15 gift baskets/gift cards to teens at college so far to help with supplies and send a little love their way and let them know we are thinking of them!
