"Gethsemane" Hermann Wohler 1925
Scripture: "Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and he became anguished and distressed. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. Remain here and stay awake with me.” 39 Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
Matthew 26: 36-39

Message:
During this Holy Week as we contemplate the path of Jesus, it is my hope that we can take moments to pause. To feel the sacred moments of Jesus’ prayers in that garden. To perhaps ponder the Gethsemane experiences in our own lives. The times that take your
breath away, that almost break you, that threaten to pull you under, that challenge the limits of your endurance and strength. To consider the days following Gethsemane - beyond the pain, to a place of greater understanding and compassion, to a path of resurrection for the
spirit.

The Agape Meal shown in the pictures was a beautiful time of sharing.
Thank you to Rev. Tom and all who came and drank in the spirit.
Today's Encouraging Word and Inspirational Message is brought to you by Penny Hurley, on behalf of the Compassionate Care Network.
