Under the Sky

Today's Encouraging Word and Inspirational Message is brought to you by Penny Hurley, on behalf of the Compassionate Care Network - inspired by the Cox Reservation in Essex, Danby, Pam, Amy, of the "Missions/CE" group, ever-faithful Judy, Jeremiah, Franklin & Tucker, and the spirit of Rev. Tom, Jeanne, and Holly, and all those not able to explore this sacred place. And forever, my husband Michael.

Scripture: And God said, Let the waters be full of living things, and let birds be in flight over the earth under the arch of heaven. Genesis 1:20

Message: Under the Sky

It was a beautiful afternoon to get out under the open sky with its changing shades of blues, greys, glimpses of sun amid the clouds. We are surrounded by so many peace-giving jewels. Gift yourself and your loved ones with a short or long walk. Many have benches at intervals allowing you to rest, read, picnic, meditate, pray, take in the fragrance and the sights of the natural world.

A little early for spring blooms, and flowering trees, but they will arrive in their time… as will the many birds of land and sea as they rush back after their winter. Embrace the changes with each day.

Even Franklin and Tucker, our furry (& stuffed!) canine honorary members, took in the sights! Tucker did not want to leave the bird observation platform.

Bring whatever or whoever you love.

Be renewed.

Note: The music you will hear is a new "sound trail" developed by Greenbelt to enhance the experience and setting of several spots along the walk.
