Message: The Many Faces of Compassion
As I watched the unfolding of the baby shower for Christina and family, I was struck once again by the endless need for compassion in our community and the world. The faces on Christina and her children reflected deep appreciation for being uplifted. And there was grace. The grace to accept the help and love offered by our church family. It is not easy to accept help, to understand the depth of one's need. Grace can open hearts and strengthen the power of that compassion.
Whether a small act of kindness, or a grander scale project to enable change to lift up part of our society, we are here to help one another.
